Those moments when you stop and look at someone when they're in the middle of doing something and they look at you and give you a little smile and sheepishly say 'what?'
My arsenal of beautiful sightings is lacking because I'm not old enough to have had children, meaningful relationships or traveled the world seeing nature's beauty. I honestly think the most beautiful thing I've seen was the ending of the movie "Spirited Away". I just cried with joy at the ending scenes.
My wife (girlfriend at the time) came to visit me abroad. And the happiest, most beautiful thing was see her walk out of the terminal and me run into her arms. Whenever I am having a bad day, I think of that moment when I saw her and everything goes away.
Right now... this site. I don't see a point in life right now and looking at this is really helping me to understand things with all of the positive feedback im getting.
My middle child was absolutely the most beautiful baby I have ever seen. She was the most beautiful of all my children right from the start! She was 9 pounds of rosy, pink and perfect! (My other children were beautiful, too. But there was somthing special about my middle girl.) It made you cry to just to look at her, even the nurse had tears in her eyes as she exclaimed, "Did you ever see such a beautiful baby?!" I swear, it's as if the kid is annointed...She's the only child that just cleans her room cuz it needs it, or that picks up the living room cuz it's messy. She goes to bed and does her homework, all without being told. She's as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. She's very sensitive and loves to help others. She's just joy personafied!
Simple, but when I see common acts of kindness and courtesy. When someone holds a door for another person, or let's the person with one thing get in front of them at the checkout line. Restores my faith in humanity, if only for that minute.
Another Navy story. In the Persian Golf sometime there's no wind at all. I remember one day during sunset I got lucky enough to be walking through the hangar bay and looked outside. I decided to go up to the top of the Island and look out at it. It was like a mirror for the orange sky in every direction except for the V my ship was making. Perfectly still water as far as you can see. I don't know if I'll ever see anything like that again.
My mom and dad when they dance......they have been married 40+ yrs and when they dance it is like watching pure happiness and love....it warms my heart so much, someday I want to find that!!!!
Ireland..I could see today and hundreds of years ago all at once...The country is so beautiful and simply took my breath away...I was withing I was an artist so that I could sit and paint what I felt when I looked at all the hills and greens!!!
I come from the Northwest and there's this time in mid fall, when the rain has set in for the season, and the forest becomes completely illuminated with color. Standing amidst the neon green moss smothering the trees is the most beautiful thing I've seen and feeling I've had.
The most beautiful thing I have ever seen is the night sky in Nederland Colorado. We pulled into Ned in the pouring rain, had to set the tent up soaking wet, make tea in the back of the truck and with such a downpour we just went to bed. The rain stopped around 3 am, I opened the flap and saw a sky like to other. I took my sleeping bag and crawled out and sat on the edge of the campground near the cliff face and looked out into space... mountains straight ahead and a trazillion bazzilions stars so close I could touch them...I sat there till the sun came up and chased the stars away. That was 1989 and not a single night goes by when I look to the sky that I don`t see that sky in my minds eye. Forever touched by the sky.
