Paula Cannoli is my nom de pen. Amelia Blanquera is the real one. For all of you aspiring writers, I'm proof that you can jump from the Collective, to the Brainlab, and now column, "Almost, Not Quite Right." My advice? Just show up, every day or whenever you can. Inspiration might not come right away. Wait for it. In the meantime, have a look around SP.
"Sweet zombie Jesus" is one of my favorite exclamations. I frequently make cat noises and know that I know more than I think I know and yet absolutely nothing.
I'm a lover of all things creative, mythic, mystic and whatever makes us dig the buttery goldmine of human consciousness. Mmm...pancakes...
Soul calling: discover and provide humanity with real soul-searching tools that EVERYONE is compelled to use. So, I'm one happy little clam being a part of the SP Team!! Yeeehaw!
I currently live in one of the best cities ever: Hamburg, DE.
i live for 80 degree weather, my tweezers, and a lot of laughter.
grew up outside of nashville, tennessee - but have lived in seattle, washington for the past 10 years. i am in love with discovering the secret murk of people's lives. the good stuff.
also, i have a slight obsession with poorly done russian accents, and the inappropriately funny - and i am excited to be part of the SoulPancake BrainLab:)
I've been told that my laugh is like the sound of the look of the legs of dancing flamingos. I can command my hands to sweat, but haven't figured out how to turn off this action. I have jumped out of a plane before. I love the fact that love is so readily available and accessible, and in so many different forms. A good tune does astounding things to my soul. I feel humbled to be part of the SP think-tank; it allows me to release creativity on a regular basis. Sometimes when I look at people I only see lights. That always makes me smile.
I'm Chris Wood. My favorite drink is a Manhattan, my favorite actor is Matt Dillon, and my favorite food is hand-tossed pizza with crushed tomatoes, ricotta, and sweet Italian sausage. I really like Sam Elliot (especially as Gar in "Mask") but when it comes down to it, Matt Dillon just outpaces him in depth of catalogue. I work at SoulPancake. I don't follow directions very well, I'm not a very good photographer and I don't believe in God.
