The day that I stop learning, is the day I die.
Recently, I saw some documentary, somewhere on the "lobotomy box", that there is new scientific evidence that we are actually controlled by our hearts, not our brains. This evidence gives me a new understanding and hope for the human race and myself.

I love to learn and grow and continue to ponder the meaning of life and who I am in it. I'm at a strange crossroads at the moment...I'm a hotel General Manager who's hotel burnt down a month ago. My new office is my Kitchen table, my work now consists of mostly dealing with an insurance claim and I'm wondering what the future will hold. I'm unsettled, but also excited. I'm very grateful no one died, even though I still complain and miss going to work and seeing my guests and my wonderful staff who are also my closest friends. Its a big adjustment. I think its also a gift...I was always so busy there was no room for anything but work...and now I have time. Time to think, to write, exercise, time to just be and figure out what I want to be when I grow up. I see my creative side is starting to appear again now that my head has had time to rest from constant thinking.
I'm a writer, and I produce and manage musicians from all over the globe.
I'm pretty sure I have the greatest dog in the known world, and I know I have the greatest crepe recipe.
I think the world would be a better place with an awesome soundtrack, and Jodie Foster and I share the same birthday, but she has nicer hair - fact.
Hi, I'm Courtney, a proud contributor here at SoulPancake and the creator of The Rule Breaker's Club - a little slice of the web-o-sphere dedicated to mindfully making sure that life kicks ass. Come say hi! I normally don't bite.
I'm in love with all things psychology, French, and happiness related. I'm convinced that modern life is full of toxic waste and distractions.
My newest adventure? Meditation. So far I'm pretty impressed. And by impressed I mean that I'm quite sure that it's the best thing that you can ever do for yourself.
I like finding grassy patches and little nooks in public places to read and spend an afternoon. I have an insatiable appetite for lentils and new words. I'm crazy about to-do lists, climbing things and closing one eye when I'm concentrating. Soulpancaking is like exfoliation for my soul - I scrub away all the dust from the day and am left with a tingly glow.
College student at Texas A&M University trying to find his way in the Accounting world. All while being apart of the United States Marine Corps. When i'm not dedicating my time to my studies I row competitively for the university and drive around AAVs (Amphibious Assault Vehicles) for the Marines. Hell of a life huh? Not quite. I still have lots of life ahead of me.
