Software is being created that enables personalized education by conforming to an individual's learning style in a way that a human teacher with 20+ students can not; rather than the student having to conform to the teacher's teaching style. How will technology trends impact our world in 50 years? Will we return to a liberal or classical formal education complemented by a bank of learning modules to provide professional and specific knowledge? Will degrees as we know them become obsolete? Will education become more accessible to all or will the advantage of wealth increase? Does this trend foreshadow the death of credentialism? What will the career of an educator look like?
