If it's possible for one person, it's possible for all people I believe. It must start with one, and we must believe that one person is us. To do this we have to be conscious of it in every moment. It may seem impossible, but nothing is impossible. I've had glimpses of love and unity for all human kind. I'll admit that it doesn't last, and I'll also admit I'm not conscious of it for long periods of time. It's a full time job in the beginning. The hardest thing for me is that I validate why I'm smarter or better than someone else if someone makes an ignorant comment, etc. I validate that if someone is mean to animals I have the right to not love them. How can we be at peace with people that hurt or murder? But, by justifying our differences, we allow hurt and murder to carry on.

We HAVE to. If we don't, we will not survive as a species. In order for this to happen, however, there is going to have to be a major overhaul on how people think, feel, and love. This type of shift would be so fundamental that I think something very large and life-threatening would be needed to get us there. I don't think we will gently morph to that place over time. We (maybe not people like us on this type of website, but most people) will need to have a significant cosmic kick in the a*s.

I believe that is in process....how long??? I believe that unity is what the majority of humankind would want, if they knew how. I think we are evolving in a way that may result in some destructive forces to create that with those who are left. Just like the flower blooms and the plant grows I feel humankind is trying to achieve this at a deeper level. Hopefully we will all learn to take a more spiritual path in creating this. If we have more of the likes of 'soul pancake' in this world we may save ourselves alot of pain in the process of evolving into a unity of all human kind.

In reality the world is one, the golden rule in all religions is one, there is one race and that's the human race, there is one God regardless what name you attribute to Him, we all bleed red, we all have two eyes, one nose, two ears etc....therefore, the great unity of the family of man will occur when we exhaust all "otherness" and see ourselves in the essence of all humanity. Love, a common shared language and universal agreement to put peace first would be a beginning.

It only takes one droplet to send ripples throughout the lake. If we started tomorrow with compassion, extreme understanding of people and their cultures we could make a lot of headway. I don't think It would happen in our lifetime. But we could make a big difference. Maybe our great-grandchildren or their children will see a peaceful world.

Yes because: 1- Unity of family, of tribe, of city-state, and nation have been successively attempted and fully established. 2- Nation-building has come to an end. 3-The anarchy inherent in state sovereignty is moving towards a climax. How can we strive towards the this goal and celebrate unity of all humankind? A world, growing to maturity, must abandon this fetish, recognize the oneness and wholeness of human relationships, and establish once for all the machinery that can best incarnate this fundamental principle of its life. I think in spirit most of us already ARE unified. We love our families, laugh when things are funny, cry when we're hurting, puff out our chests a bit when given praise, want to believe in something bigger than ourselves. It's just that the skills we need to bring the spiritual reality into our (very) material existence require lots and lots and lots of practice. Like walking or talking when we're babies, it will happen, we just need a longer view of the timetable. Hey, if we want to hasten the coming of tangible unity in our communities, the only way to speed it up is to practice, practice, practice! :) Not only will every good and kind and just act improve our world in itself, the practice of such qualities can't help but inspire others to do the same! :) And btw, how many babies sit down and cry in defeat when they tip over or stumble? Not many, right? (unless they're bleeding) They just pick themselves up and get right back at it. I think that there is something profound to be learned from that.

How's tomorrow sound to you? I say we have the ability to do it anytime we might choose. I just think we like disunity better. Something about celebrating the individual over the assembly.
