I think it will become more of a novelty. We'll still have bookstores and journals and gift cards, etc. Unfortunately, junk mail as well :) But hopefully we will use less and less as the "paperless office" increases.

I sincerely hope not. To me there's nothing like snuggling up with a real book, and I get great pleasure from writing longhand with a pencil or calligraphic pen. Plus, I love to draw, and make paper, and make blank books from paper. I don't think I'm the only person in the world who feels this way, either.

With apologies to all the folks who make a living making paper, I glibly rely "hopefully, not much!" I'd love for technology to get to a point where paper is used for entertainment, amusement, etc., rather than necessity.
