Babies, just like anything else, are best taken in moderation. Grandparents usually dote on their grandchildren, but even they have their limits. Over-sharing is a common social mistake these days. Send grandma and grandpa a FEW new pictures of the grandbaby - NOT a zip file of hundreds!

Whats more annoying, a baby pic from a friend, that you can look at and then choose to move on, or a pop up ad that might try to sell you something or plant a cookie in your computer from a stranger, as you get viewed as a target demographic with a higher disposable income because you don't have kids?

As a recent grandparent, I am fascinated by every expression that can be the very first and the wonder of waiting for that moment when the expression becomes associated with a purposeful, conscious thought.
If you have no connection at all to the baby pic, I can understand the lack of interest. The vibe occurs within me only when the baby is associated with people I care about, but knowing that I have that feeling within, allows me to transfer some of that as I see a young Mom and Dad and others bonding with that new life. It's less about the baby pic and more about the excitement I feel for the excitement of the parents themselves.

Seems self centered to me. What about tolerence for friends. Why cant you just move by the pic quickly if you're not interested, after all they are your friends. Is it because your time is more important than your friends need to share what is important in their life? Maybe an adult only site needs to be developed but then the tolerence issue will arise in a new form is my guess.

I don't know, perhaps people should just learn that less is more.

An excess of photos of the same baby doing the same thing over and over again is annoying (babies only do 3 things- eat, poop, sleep). The few people I know who had a baby haven't plastered every digital facet known to man with photos. Since they're not constantly streaming fresh baby pictures at all hours of the day you can actually find some value in the few photos that they do post (and I don't like babies so that's saying something).
