actually it seems like China is pretty much beating the hell out of everybody., statistically speaking
A total of 396 Chinese athletes, 171 male and 225 female, were selected by the Chinese Olympic Committee to compete in 23 sports. The 2012 Olympics marked China's ninth appearance at the Summer Olympics.
personally, I don't care who "wins". I am pretty much just in awe of all the atheletes.
and, as an aside, Mexico put 83 athletes in the field.
