They are politicians. You can always tell when they are lying...their lips are moving. It doesn't matter what political party they are affiliated with, they are all liars, traitors and thieves.

There is a "Truth in Advertising Act," I see no reason why there can't be a "Truth in Political Campaigns Act."

Romney seems incapable of telling the truth. The spin in deeply embedded in the political game now. No chance of eradicating it. The only thing to do is to ignore, or become better educated than the spinners. That's an awful lot of work, though.

In a democratic based style government, this sort of thing is inevitable. Sometimes facts can be ugly, and people like to "spin" then in order to make them more appealing... and vice versa. It's a dirty trick to spin the words of an opponent, and it should be noted by the commentators that they are doing this... but unfortunately, we see commentators taking part in the spinning frenzy as well. It's a sad state of affairs, because people seem to want to be right. And people wish to cozy up with those who share their beliefs. Proper education seems to be the key factor in a successful democracy, and sadly, I don't see much of it out there. I see shifty tactics and piles of money used to win elections, and that seems to have trumped education. I think Obama won largely due to G-Dub's epic failures. Had he been running after a lesser-hated president... perhaps we'd never see a black president.
