In some cases it can be beneficial. From my own personal experience, i find it to be detrimental to kids sometimes. For an example, I asked my nephew what he learned in school and said he learned about figures of speech. When i asked what it was he said, " well, I was doing homework from other classes," and immediately turned to his laptop and started to Google it when his lit book was right in front of him. It is making future generations lazier and lazier because they have developed the idea that everything is within access so why bother doing the extra work when we have things to do it for us? I mean don't get me wrong, i think the internet is great, but how many times have we seen kids do their homework while on the computer and not even look at a book? And they say, " Oh, they put the assignment online." Bullshit, Google is in full force.

The analogy may be self serving? Did you just want to make a point about guns because for some reason people just aren't as thrilled about them as you are these days?
