Talk about stuff that matters.

What is it exactly about the super hero, that is so far fetched?

All I could think about growing up, was becoming a super hero. They diagnosed me with a learning disability, because I couldn’t focus in school, unknowingly to them, because all I could think about, was flying around, and being the conquering battle field hero. I never had super powers, so I had no choice but to do the next best thing. After several years of being a comic nerd, I have come to the realization of why exactly it is, that the super hero is such an out of reach concept. Other then the obvious, people don’t have super powers, the super hero could never be, because the super hero concept, is a crime against nature itself. The super hero story is typical, a person gets powers, plays the lamb during the day, working a job, then go’s out at night to hunt bad guys. Name one Creature in the wild that gets incognito after sun set, and ventures out to punish their predators. Best case scenario, Lion gets kicked in the face by a bucking Wildebeest on the run, while protecting it’s own hide, or it’s offspring. I know that we as humans believe that our society is above the world of nature, that we can‘t live without, which isn’t a conversation that I’m even willing to get into, because we can‘t live without nature. I’ll tell you what does happen in the wild though, predators fighting other predators over territory, sex rights, and food. Like how we fight wars in the name of land, greater profits and resources, and sometimes in the past, women. Scientists have even found, that some of the most powerful predators on prehistoric earth, killed themselves off, for reasons unknown. All a super hero is, is a greater predator, fighting for his own dominion, or his or her set of moral ideals. We hold them up high, admiring them for helping the police do their jobs, but as we know the police department has become vastly corrupted, and sending villains to prison, is no punishment, seeing how they continue the same illegal activity’s inside, that saw them locked up in the first place. Even in comics, the super hero ideals that they cling to fail, leading to the collapse of their campaign, in where they themselves resort to killing. We look up to the super hero concept, that we believe to be America, also because super heroes don’t use guns, “unlike Americans“. But one of the first things I learned in boot camp, was that anything can be used as a weapon. Be it a gun, your mind, or laser vision, it’s still a weapon. So I’ve come to it that super hero’s, aren’t hero’s at all, but higher predators, depicted as what we know to be model citizens. So, what is there? How do we counter evil? Do we do nothing? Having learned that you can’t fight fire with fire, or evil with evil, there can be only one thing to do. The exact opposite, of what the evil doers are doing, which is not to fight, but to inspire people to be good, and do the right thing, using non violent methods. John Lennon said it best, when he said, “don’t resort to violence. As soon as you get violent with them, they know exactly what to do with you, using the infinite number of weapons at their disposal. Raise a loud enough ruckus, and people will listen, but If you meet them without violence, and they act violently against you, they loose”. I have learned from personal experience that there is no victory when war comes to the realms of our world, save by the suits, who initiated the whole thing, and sit in their castles, watching their bank accounts get fatter. We see images on the tube, of the noble warrior, poised and ready to strike at his enemy, in defense of his home. But it seems rare anymore that any wars are fought over simple defensive reasons. Attacking another country, isn’t self defense. When we kill one another, everyone looses. I don’t say these things to end war, but to share my opinion, that good outcomes don’t arise out of evil deeds, and being hateful, against people who hate you, isn’t going to help anything.
