It's an interesting story though the illustrations kinda bugged me ( can't say why lol), as someone who partakes, I kinda like that it's a less fearful approach toward it though I doubt it will be popping up in elementary school libraires anytime soon. I will never understand the hangups over this particular drug.

How some people can live in a fantastically DELUSION based world of Fiction where weed doesn't exist and Children will somehow never ask "certain questions" or ever come into contact with "certain subjects/experiences" is beyond me. I'm glad you all want the best for your children but padding their version of reality to the point where it no longer reflects actual reality (which trust me they will meet oneday) is not a good parenting tactic or action in any logic based system of thought. PEOPLE SMOKE Weeed... and somehow the real world keeps turning just fine... has for quite a while now, before the propoganda against it ever existed.

I'm all for teaching kids facts which this books seems to do. Feeding kids lies about how all drugs are bad is doing them a horrible disservice

Actually I've found a huge majority of adults w/ fully functional if not even successful lives that smoke on a regular basis. And this is very much the "norm" atleast in my experience. At first the book is off putting but only because I think it reflects the defensive attitude we get on the subject from all the anti-pot propoganda we are fed since we are little. The book is so opposite this attitude that it takes a bit to adjust, but its a needed adjustment in my opinion. I personally don't smoke, but have no problem with those who do. I look forward to the time when laws will meet the subject with a new and honest look, rather than the a-typical "weed is bad or destrucive,... just because we say so" attitude.

Why doesn't somebody write a book for children about super foods, "that make people feel good?"
I think of marijuana as an external solution/excess used in place of personal self-parenting skills, most of the time. Only exception to this would be use of it like moderate alcohol use (pending thought). Would I write a children's book on responsible drinking? Ridiculous, misdirected.
I am frustrated to see a positive picture painted of a substance most often used as a crutch. Granted this is something I'm worked up about presently...
Whatever the case I am discouraged to see adults spent time on this.
