Wikipedia is more accurate than the Encyclopedias of Britannica. Most of the wrong information is on celebrities that some people really dislike.

I listen / read half a dozen different sources but when I want a middle-of-the-road view I go to PBS. Their news reporting tends more toward the factual, than the partisan or sensational, and they have a couple of topical news-related programs with participants with differing views from both sides of the aisle.

Otherwise, The Daily Show on Comedy Central is my favorite. :))

you have to cross refer -
in the UK that's normally a matter of crossing something like the Independent with the Guardian and the BBC - these all have their quirks but between them you can discern the truth in a story...
I don't think crossing the Young Turks with Fox will give you much of an understanding of any truth - just where the battle lines are between the extremes....

WTTW/ public supported TV has pretty good programs if you're in America (tho i don't know if you can get it elsewhere in the world)
