A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle. So far it is the only book I've read that has impacted me to the point of change.

I think my home would do that. That may not really capture the essence of your question though because a home is not the house, but it does have a greater ability to capture the combination of things that represents who I am.

From the books in the sun room, to my tools in the workshop, to the pictures in our family room to the food in our cupboards. If anyone really cared; a anthropologist would have a field day.
