What good comes from death?

It seems like it's necessary for us to die in order to move forward as a race. I understand that most people don't want to die but doesn't it seem like it's for the better?

Also, can you imagine how grumpy I would be by my thousandth birthday? It isn't pretty.

What bad comes from death?

The only perceived "bad", is "death of ego".

But then this is no so much the tragedy unless we believe the lie that ego is everything -- and that without the physical construct of "me" . . . there is "nothing".

The potential for life.

Evolution.

well, it is inevitable...whether it's "good" or not. or wheteher it's good for society..or not

Better for society? Sure. There's lots of old f***s that refuse to accept new things that need to die. But there's also lots of good people that are always adapting and offering good ideas for the future. These are tragic losses. I think reversing aging and overcoming death are admirable goals. There are many people that don't, but they won't be around long so the problem solves itself.
