Not disappointed but a little jealous, I suppose. It would be so awesome to live for millennia able-bodied and free (no Death Becomes Her scenarios). Of course, the future might not be cool at all, but I'd love to see it anyways.

I wonder about it, but I don't find myself terribly disappointed that I won't see it. I'm happy with what I have here and now. And I hope that those in the future will feel the same.

Today is so good.
But I am much happier with this thought than all the sad miseries that say it's all going to go downhill and end horribly..

I believe with the environment the way that it is some major events will occur over the next century and to overcome that we will have to advance our thinking and technology to unprecedented level that will lead a transformation into an era of exciting possibilities. In 500 to 1000 years it's almost impossible to imagine. Think back to the 1500s and move ahead to the 1800s, how much really happened. Now look at the 1950s to the 2000s and how much happened. I'm 23 so who knows what I'll get to see, hopefully as much as possible.

I think about this all of the time. I feel disappointed and maybe a little jealous that I'll most likely never see the things that we imagine on television and in movies. But you know, there's so much to look forward to in the next few decades that I'm sure that I'll see some thing that are just as amazing.
At least there's one thing we'll probably get to see. People are talking about making a business out of asteroid mining and how it can make things more affordable and whatnot. Heck, I may even get a job in the industry one day. :p (don't count on it.)

I remember being a little kid watching the Disney show weekly . One episode showed rockets bursting into space and astronauts exploring !
