I think people can get whatever they want done to their own body, if they regret it then that's their issue but I'm pretty tired of people throwing around "you'll regret that when you're 80" because the majority of tattoos people get have a meaning behind them and you're pretty unlikely to regret something that meant so much to you that you wanted to attach yourself to it permanently.

Thats the thing, It doesn't have to mean anything really. It's already a form of expressing ones self, plus you can always just bullshit and make up a story if you wanted to lol :P

i believe all tattoos have a meaning to some extent. i currently have 5, & each has a different meaning to me. some people's meaning is just that they wanted a tattoo, so they got something they seen on the shop wall because it was cute or interesting.

I think people can do whatever they want with their own bodies. It's none of my business. I'd never get a tattoo. I don't react well to needles, and there's nothing I care that much to have stamped on my body for the rest of my life.

I hate when people get tattoos just because they thought it looked cool. By all means get something that looks cool but have it stand for something. It doesn't have to be for everyone, it could represent something about you. I think art is supposed to tell a story or convey emotion. When you take that away, you've got nothing.

Some people get tattoos that they've thought about that represent important things in their lives and some people just pick a pretty design off of a wall. The truth is it can get you laid. That's why some people get them.

I gave myself a 1 dot tattoo accidentally while cleaning out a calligraphy pen (NEVER get distracted when doing so!)

What's the difference between a tattoo with no meaning and a tattoo you don't know the personal meaning of? If I had to have them I'd rather have a beautiful tattoo than a meaningful one.
