Being frozen. In a state of living, but unmoving. Unable to talk, or do anything but see and listen. To see the world unfold around me, but not be able to take part. Here's an analogy to represent how I feel about it. It's like being granted immortality, but before being aged within a millisecond of death. Not allowing you to anything, but you live forever. That'd be the worst case scenario for me.

Death. Not mine, but all the people I care about. As much of a loner as I tend to be, if I didn't have the people I loved and cared about, my life wouldn't hold much value for me.

Perhaps finding oneself in a purely spiritual realm at the end of physical life, and finding they have no spiritual arms or legs or muscles because they did not adequately develop them in physical life? (What with being busy taking care of fortune or fame or short-term goals or self-gratification or acquiring the proper toys (material OR Human) or any other number of things that at that point, would have absolutely no significance to speak of.

Helpless, hopeless, hapless; with absolutely no spiritual assets to one's credit; totally vulnerable to any predators that might be there.

I like your questions. Worst case scenario? yeah, living in darkness. Ignorance maybe. Death is awaited repose. Death is easy. Life is hard
