Then I call a friend. They come over. We enjoy each other.
We go on a late night walk. We watch more comedic movies.
I wake up - and rise again. It's a hard process, but you get through it. sh*t sucks. That doesn't mean life has to.

my best friend told me one time that "depression is a long word for self-pity. nice to wallow in once in awhile...but not as a life style". what do I do when I get depressed? I get over myself. it's a choice.

I wallow in it for half a day, then I remember that doing something usually lifts the depression for me, so I get up and go do something. Gardening does the trick most often. Sailing. Baking a cake. Volunteering.
