Craig Minowa of The Cloud Cult. Everything he writes has such a positive and hopeful undercurrent without being hammy or heavy handed. Many of his songs ask the very same questions that I always ask myself: who are we? How can I better celebrate my life, the life of those around me, and just what is this grand mystery of existence? Oh, and if you ask a goose a question, does it ever shut up? (no, no it does not).

(as an aside he's now offering guitar lessons online)
there's always something on:

where among many great offerings I found:

(try Life on Earth or Best Day)
and:

(their If I Had A Gun gives me chills every time I hear it and I sing their Girls Like Us, but as rock instead of folk, when I drive)
For some reason when Summer is coming I tend to go toward folk & bluegrass.

Matthew Good is pretty fantastic. When I first heard his song "Weapon" I got all emotional.
