Nature -- and Science is my prophet, revelatory agent, bringer ever truer conceptions of "God".

The very definition of God, excludes the possibility of “my God”, “your God”, etc. God, again by definition of the term, is not subjective. So, once we go beyond the infantile notion of using terms such as “my God”, “your God”, we can use our intelligence to understand who and what God really is, though the process of serious, deep and philosophical spiritual search. This search requires that we qualify ourselves to understand this deepest of secrets, much like me must qualify ourselves if we want to understand physics, math or just about anything else. This process of qualifying oneself is called spirituality or self-realization and process of understanding God is called yoga, in the ancient Indian texts such as the Bhagavad-gita, or more precisely, bhakti-yoga (also known as Krishna consciousness these days).

Ultimately, to know God you must follow the path indicated by Him to know Him, as described in the great theistic religious traditions of the world and as practiced and taught by the great saints and devotees of the Lord.

You know in your mind and heart that you believe there is something far more greater than you, that this god is a higher power with endless knowledge. That I am just a fool compared to this god of mine, I admit humility, If I can not seek the knowledge on this puny earth realm I know I can obtain it higher up. Everyone has their own personal god within them. It does not necessarily have to be the cristian god, Its their good hearted spirit. If you take religion out the question of having your own god, then you will understand. Dont get hung up on religion, Get hung up on spiritualism. There is indeed a difference my friends.

physics is the opposite of a god. People go to religion for happiness and peace of mind. I believe everyone is their own God/Allah/etc... So just say your god and place yourself in a "heaven" on Earth. Avoid any demons and try to help others sinking

Physics as a God might piss off some scientists. I assume you are not being serious, or implying that physics is what created and maintains the universe as we know it. In that case, all good, but I think you are misusing the term "God".

For me, the answer is: N/A

As interesting as this question is, I feel that it unneccasarily changes the meaning of a good word. As C.S. Lewis speculates in "Mere Christianity", we should not change the meaning of words we already know to serve a good purpose...because then they become useless.

Maybe I'm over analyzing the question...interesting though

I think it's dangerous to begin to call the things, or disciplines that we care most about 'our god'. For those who don't believe in the traditional definition of the word, this seem a pernicious attempt to keep the term in the modern lexicon.

I prefer calling everything what it is and admitting I don't know why, rather than saddle everything with a god and pretend I know.

Physical matter only makes up about 4% of the universe, so I think god is everything else. All the other non-physical energy out there that once in a while we tap into... and that most cultural interpretations of god are people trying to understand their experiences of that energy.

I have no God. I alone am responsible for my choices, successes and failures in this life. I answer to my loved ones and ultimately have to live with myself and the consequences of my actions be they right, wrong or indifferent in the eyes of those who think they have a right to judge me. Ultimately that judgement lies on them not me.

There is only one God, the Triune God. The God of the Bible. The God of Abraham. Jesus Christ. The author of physics. The same person Who programmed the billions of messages into the DNA of all living things. The same person who built billions of things using the Divine mathematical ratio, also called the Fibonacci sequence.

OP, genuine curiosity here: In what sense do you consider it appropriate to refer to physics a god? Do you pray to this god? Do you ask it to forgive your sins? Does this god offer life after death? Why not be content with calling it physics? Don't get me wrong, I too have considered the possibilty of a prime mover or that of the panentheist/panentheist view, as well as a whole host of other interesting possibiilities, but there is something in me that refuses to commit myself to belief without supporting evidence. I would be happy to hear any comments you might have on this.
