Executive decision

Let's pretend for a second that you run a business or maybe you're the human resource manager for a company... A company that normally hires college graduates. Let's also say that you're hiring, and there's a fine lot of young, creative minds, eagerly awaiting a new job. Now let's say some more stuff. There are 5 candidates applying for the available position, one lacks a degree. You feel, with all your years of resourcing humans, that the one who shows the most potential lacks a degree. The other four candidates all boast degrees from prestigious universities, however they lack something this young degree-less warrior has.

Would you hire the man you see best fit for the position even though he lacks a degree?
