If I had the chance to remove a social network would be the more pertinent question.
I have laready removed myself from Facebook due to the control freakery, removal of privacy rights, and advertising fodder that the organisation has decided its users must become

I abandoned LinkedIn in a long while ago, just boring
MySpace is dead , no need to kill it
There are many many more,
Twitter and other micro blogging I can enjoy, but

I much prefer forums ... This one in particular

I'm thinking there are already enough of these things than is healthy. There is no "unity" in just copying what is already there. You just further fragment the people according to where they "network".

(Which BTW can sound impressive and unifying. But the growing reality is that they are simply becoming excuses to be vacuous in the present and for nurturing shallow and self-centred "relationships".

We're raising a generation of people who have less and less idea of what to say or do when physically standing in front of another Human being without the "safety barrier" of technology between them.
