Why do people like camping, when they could stay in a Marriott?
Why do I have no sense of direction and get lost just miles from home regularly?
Why do people lie about ridiculous things?
Why when I put something down, do I immediately forget it?
Was quitting my corporate job to stay home with my kids the best decision ever or the stupidest?
My mother comes across as a hard-a*s, yet why does a wild turkey adopt her lawn?
Are there people working on cures for things that would make everyone's life better-like ridding the world of ticks?
How accurate are population estimates? They are always finding bodies in odd places, some people are missing, some children are born at home? And, in less developed places it's even more chaotic.
I have a lot of questions. Very few answers.

I'm comforted, or satisfied, or, in some cases, simply settled, with the answers I've found to the majority of life's "big picture" questions. Most of the answers I'm looking for today have a more pedestrian origin. What makes an otherwise delicious guacamole inedible? Why do people keep paying money to see stupid movies? Can one really enjoy carnality too much? Will I get my act together, and figure this sh@t out, and start authentically living my life again before society crumbles into ruins? Okay... that last query was pretty lofty.

Man! What a loaded topic! Most days, I'm pretty zen. I can't explain how or what gives me that. I try to make good decisions and I guess that results in good karma. Peace is really what I'm always looking for - that, and a few laughs. And really, that's all I'm looking for in life. I can't imagine what else there is? I'm always warm, safe and dry, rarely lonely, never bored. It seems - and I stress SEEMS - that I have it all figured out.
