It's a very emotional piece. I bought it at a First National
grocery store for 75 cents. It was a vinyl record, there
were no CD's or MP3 players back in those days.

It took me a couple of months to save enough money (it was $20... but for someone who only got $5 a fortnight pocket money.. things took a while)... But I purchased U2's "Achtung Baby" as a cassette tape for myself.... (Most of the other music I listened to was either given to me or I stole from my older siblings.)

I wish I could tell you I was cool enough that it was the Velvet Underground or The Ramones or Big Star or something awesomely seminal! Ha! But the truth is that it was the "glory" that was John Denver's Rocky Mountain High. I freaking worshipped that nerd! I'd have to wait a couple years before they let me near the cool kid's vinyl.

When I was like 13 I bought No More Tears by Ozzy Osbourne from Best Buy I'm not an Ozzy fan anymore so I usually go with the 2nd album I ever bought which was Led Zeppelin III from Circuit City like 2 weeks later

Van der Graaf Generator's Pawn Hearts. A shop. We had shops back in the old days - they were places where people went to buy stuff. My wife shops from this chair. :(
