i think alot of people feel the same as you, and I have been thru this before too. but if there is ever a time to do anything about it and you have a chance and want it bad enough than go for it. I mean, some of us cant, literally. I appreciate everything I have so I take some lonely boring nights over no change. Vs being homeless, in dangerous situations, and around people I cant trust. At least we are alive. So I try to find the good in what I do and have around me now even if it isnt alot or the best. There is plenty of days where I am juz not feeling well mentally or physically so when I am average to well I gotta take what I can from that goodtime. Like, I pay my own rent and have my own bed and can watch tv and get online on my own pc that I pay for.I am adult and in control. Some people dont have these privelages. I am low income. SO this is a huge deal., But it is better than being in the streets. I live in a bad building with crazy neighbors in da hood so I juz try to say things will get better. MAybe you can do a pro con list of what you love and hate>? Just some thoughts. I think it is a true we are the mirror of what we see and want. Like if being in a relationship for years doesnt go well....or conflicts at work. school, community. time for change. Coping is hard and skills to do this works differently for all of us depend on the situation.

The path to fulfillment lies through service. I find my venue for service through the Bahá'í faith, by participating in and tutoring groups where the main theme is service to humanity, the importance of self development, virtues, and so forth.

Your venue might be volunteering at a soup kitchen or anything of the sort. You'll feel better and you'll make a difference.

I go and get a bottle of wine, or cause chaos somewhere. I break out of the nine to five, stare at the wall bullshit. I write.

I feel things stay the same because our paradigms are the same, if u hang with the same friends, and do the same things, nothing will change and the world will look static when in fact it is us who r static. We just need to break out of our paradigms and explore different cultures, religions, society, and people. The more u explore and learn the more u truly realize how little u will ever know ;) The truth is if u stay static the smaller and more depressing the world will look, so just cut the shackles that we've all been program to depend on (unfulfilling jobs, negative/abusive people, comforts/luxurys) and explore the world and urself. It's the only way to live!

... You realise that you are merely looking at yourself in a mirror,
And until such times as you wish to move away from your self absorption, everything external will seem dull to you,
Whereas to those who have done the work of living, the same external reality will appear exciting and varied, and actually be so...
