I'm a firm believer that every person on this planet is placed there for some specific reason. I'm 17 years old, and feel quite hopeless and lost all the damn time.. I frequently contemplate suicide.I stay alive to find my reason why. I want to find why I was meant to stay alive.

And the interest has been accumulating.
But that's all I do with it, let it accumulate.
I think the main reason for life is to find a purpose for your accumulated interest, not just to let it accumulate.
One day I will have to cash in, of course, but not today.
And hopefully by that time, I will have passed my investments on to someone else.

Or someones pointing a gun in my head or I just woke up from a car crash. So pretty much pure terror is my reason to live.

5. To take the journey. See #4. We're here for a reason and each of us has trials and tribulations amid joy and happiness. A full life entails a bit of each. You see, depression and anxiety run rampant in my family, so sometimes it can be hard to focus on the better of life. Then again, I'm just a growing boy, and those years are apparently the most tumultuous for the human mind and body. Fun, fun, fun!
I suppose that the small feelings and pleasures of the world, like that really good movie or the cold side of a pillow-case, and the big ones, such as friendship, love, and wonder, are my top reasons to live.
The opportunity that we all have to make a difference relies solely on us, no matter how fortunate or unfortunate we start off. I learn new things every day, experiences new sorrows and joys every day, deal with surprising occurrences and react to new happenings every day.
The world is a marvelous ever-changing rotating orb of wonder and awe, and I've only got one life to understand and enjoy it. I'm not wastin' any time soon!

1. When you look at the big picture, the miracle of life is far more amazing than it first sounds, and it sounds pretty amazing right from the get go. The first moment a creature gazed up in awe at the night sky above was the moment that our universe became self aware. There's something like a 98 % chance that at least one molecule in the oxygen in your lungs RIGHT NOW was once breathed by Julius Caesar. The fact I have been granted by fate this rare chance to live and be a part of everything is reason enough to accept it.

If you try to give yourself some material or emotional reason to live then that reason's gonna go away or you'll lose it somehow. You can't have a source that validates your existence... There is no valid reason to live outside of doing it just for the sake of life.
