When you see someone asking questions that took you ten years to answer it feels good to help them with a time saving answer.

Maybe that is a reason they are on the site. They may be isolated, misunderstood, and unable to find what they need in "real life." I hope just offering them support and sympathy makes them feel better. It makes them feel people care. Most of us can't do much more.

No. Help them do what? Chances are they are on here for entertainment and not real help. I have never understood why someone with a real issue would ask total strangers for help.

Sometimes, yes, but the problems they have are things that have been happening to young folks for ages and ages. It is the same chapters of our lives and we all live to survive them. I see the problems and I remember back when I had the same problems and how I handled them. The things that young people are troubled with are the normal problems that are the markers of every stage of life.
