Alliance, Ohio. Look it up. We have our own castle. Legit. I've lived here since 1992 when my parents moved back from Hawaii. I WOULD say Honolulu was my favorite place to live, but i don't remember much of it. My town-things i love?...college town, great cemeteries, a nice park, Sheetz, Jupiter Studios,The Castle, my friends, not too far from the next biggest city, where i work, and just moved back from; our movie theatre has cheap tickets for brand new releases, the track right up the street from my house at the high school. Things i hate(dislike)? ...it's so. small. there's no good sushi place for 20 miles, the cops are all dickheads, (and i know them all-family friends), it's a college town (so we have the college renters living close by-as well as the dorms up the street), new kids have taken over the hangouts, friends have moved away, the gang activity is up, the poorest part of the state is four streets away from my house, we're dry a lot of the time, and it's cold for 3/4ths of the year.

I just moved to LA a few months ago, so I may still be in the honeymoon phase, but I pretty much love everything about it. I love that even when you're stuck in traffic, you can just stare at the palm trees contrasted against the bright blue sky and remember that it's winter, but it's really not, because you're in SoCal. I love how many activities there are to do, events there are to check out, and places there are to go. I love the hiking. I love the ocean and the beach. I love that this is a place people come from all over the world to live out their dreams; this whole city is one big buzzing pot of electric creativity. I love the weather. I love the (relative - I used to live in the midwest) proximity to all of the amazing places on the west coast and to Vegas. So many things.

And what do I hate? That's a toughie. I would say that something I dislike (not hate, mind you, just dislike) is the constant presence of wealth and success that pervades every part of this city. On one hand, that presence is a good thing, because it's a motivator, and proof that it's possible to make it. On the other hand, it sometimes makes me feel completely inadequate, and makes me wonder how I'll feel if I never achieve that level of success. But I guess if there's anywhere in the world to make it, it's LA. So at least I'm in the right place.

Its 10 minutes to Boulder and it feels very remote. Known for climbing and our natural spring water. THe weather is hard in the winter, but once summer comes it's like a holiday town. Rich in history and cool people. People come to the canyon for a reason, mine was to start new and downsize. We have our own Post Office and dogs run free.

I live in Sacramento, Ca.I have to say I love it here. It has a lot of diversity and the weather is always nice. Like everything it has its bad sides but to me they are too insignificant to say. We have a small doiwntown area that is cool to visit. and we have rural areas that have cows. I would like to live closer to the ocean and forest but here i am only 2 hours away from either.

I live in Denver and there are SO many things I love about this place. The music scene is overwhelmingly delicious. There is actually too much music to see. I'm in the city and I can be in the mountains within minutes. People are friendly and don't seem to be in a huge rush, which I encountered multiple times while on the east coast. It's just a fun town - there are tons of adventures to be had, places to discover, and interesting people to meet. People here are mostly pretty conscious about how they live their life. I love how it can be snowing one day and 60 degrees the next.

But I love these things about Arkadelphia....
-There is an awesome lake and river close to campus
-It forces good community to happen among residents (probably my favorite thing)
-Less distractions
-No traffic
-We have a wendy's
Things I hate
-No where to shop, go to a movie, bowl...
-There is literally nothing entertianing to do, unless you make it up.
- No whataburger
-No where good to eat except a taco stand....
-The closest 'city' is either Hot SPrings which is a 40 min drive, or 1 hr to Little Rock

I love :
+That people love food here. They love original food, they love local food. They really care about what they put in their bodies and where it came from.
+That people love music. People of all ages go to shows, and talk about shows.
+The neighborhoods! people love their streets, their bakeries, their coffee shops, their views of the water.
+That people desire to walk and bike to things.
+The landscape. The water, the trees, the mountains.
+The weather. Yeah, really. A little drizzle is far better than a midwestern 3 month freeze.
I dislike:
-The traffic.
-The intensely competitive white collar atmosphere.
-The price of real estate.
-The weather. Not the rain but the darkness. It's dark for a long time this far north.

I love it, because it is a small town. You can see stars at night. You don't hear traffic or police sirens at night. There is a very low crime rate. And most businesses are local mom and pop ordeals. We have some really good coffee shops.
I hate it, because it is a small town. I get bored and have nowhere nearby to go. Curfew is a lot earlier. The only place open after ten is Wal Mart. My friends all live at least thirty minutes away from me.
It's bittersweet.

I love the incredible cultural diversity! I'm just three miles from the beach and Pacific ocean. I live next to a university so I can go to the track, theater, library, any number of musical or theatrical performances, sporting events or lectures. I love the weather. There are lots of things to do, in fact, usually too many.

I don't like the poverty, urban architectural blight, strip malls, big box stores and tangles of freeways. I don't like the pollution, noise, crowding, car traffic and the lack of open wild space. Which is why being at the ocean's edge feels like a relief, sometimes. I wish my community was more "walkable" and/or bike friendly. It is walkable and bike-able, very close to my home, but in most circumstances driving is required.

But it's rough as hell. Really f****n' dangerous in a lotta areas. One of my friends shot a enimiga in the head, down the street from an elementary school. Shootings all the time. If you're an outsider you can't exactly walk the streets alone. You'll get hit up.
