Yes, generally, but there is a business dream I want to pursue (price tag 350K) that my income doesn't match.

no. I need to find another audience for my writing. My old boss wants me back, and if he can pay me, I'll see if I can't do both.

They do now and usually have in the past except for one leap over to England, Scotland and France for a six-week-long vacation during the 80s that had to be cut short after discovering how expensive traveling was. I do not regret going however. The experience satisfied a longing and enriched my life at the age of 30. Now my income is small and my dream is to move close to San Francisco. Hopefully I can live within my means there. I won't know unless I try and I do not plan to ever again accumulate stuff. I'm returning to the simple life.

My dreams are simple (besides wanting to live overseas!) so I think they shouldn't be a financial problem.

Dreams are for children,
Live life so that every ordinary moment is an opportunity for learning.
I have sufficient means to do more than I want to do.
So do most people in the western world...
As long as their dreams are not just the dull materialistic bullshit that lottery ticket owners dream of.

I am poor, but have dreams of being comfortable again and not have to worry about who is at the door to turn off whatever utility. That is a major bummer.

How we love to take vacations to tropic islands where most of the fun is just being on the beach and watching the water and stars. Well, a lot of really poor people live there.
We return to our prison cells, they are out in the beautiful wild. And we think we have it good.
