I agree with that statement.
If I was in a war I would steal out love from all the women I captured since we one. Victory gets the spoils and that includes all the women.

And whether that "gain" is land, resources, bragging rights, victory over a foe, or mining what you feel you need for yourself out of a co-dependent relationship masquerading as love?
It's all the same process. It's just turned around and worn in different ways.
It can be superficially comforting to say, "It was war/love . . . so these treacherous things I did . . . are suddenly "fair". Right? After all, it was love/war???".
The need to justify it externally with words . . . means one is having trouble internally justifying it!
But also for consideration is "true love". If something happens that separates you and you find you have to set aside or sublimate yourself and your needs for a time? In the face of true love, you would count this as "a fair trade-off".
