What's Your Relationship Deal-Breaker?

I went on a few dates recently with a fun, interesting woman. Not that long ago, though, I probably wouldn't have considered her datable. She has a kid. She has an ex-husband. Their relationship isn't all cute scenarios and ironic laughs like exes in the sitcoms. In the past, I'd have been more interested in a telemarketer call. But people change. We get older. Less judgmental. We add our own baggage, the people in our dating demographics change and we often adapt with them.

But what doesn't change? What makes someone un-datable? What is, and always will be, your relationship deal-breaker? I'm 99 percent sure I could never date someone who smokes. It's gross. It stinks. And if it does work out, you have all sorts of health issues ahead. @NoMattJames

When one of us fails to start breathing again, duh.

I think it would be a person that would cheat and hurt me!!!

Someone who hasn't had a major descent. Or someone who hasn't come back from one.

Irresponsible with money; anger, abuse, addiction.

1.unfaithful2.manipulates3.cant admit when they make a mistake4.thinks being gay is a choice5.not open minded6.thinks they are better than everyone else and justifies their actions

Dealbreakers?: People who use the word "swag", boys who find gay love not love, & no political view.

I'm married now, but when I was dating, I avoid guys who were rude or supercilious to waitresses and clerks...or who had hair-trigger tempers.

not chivalrous... it would be nice if the guy held my hand once in a while and offered me his jacket when im cold, opened the door for me =) im a traditional gal but at the same time, im no lower than he is at all

1 -indecisiveness2- inconstancy 3- unmotivated 4- unwilling to share his world with mine5- And of course, CHEATING...

cheating. i know others have mentioned this, too. but my dad cheated on my mom, and i could never live with that in a marriage. happily, i am married to someone so honest that cheating just isn't in his DNA.

Aside from the obvious things, I could never date someone who was unmotivated or lacked direction in life. Been there. Done that. So over it.

If he shaves his legs and wears those tshirts with rhinestones on them...:)

Someone who disrespects, hits or is unfaithful. Anything else falls into the gray.

Bad grammar. I know it is shallow and petty- but there it is.

If I pick three things, here they are:1. smoking (you're right, it's disgusting)/drugs/alcoholism2. faithfulness (I've had issues in the past, and I will never date and ex-cheater again)3. lack of communication (talk about your problems. don't hide them from me)

1] Drug addiction2] Prison record3] Smoking4] A loud eater - I know it seems silly, but a loud eater...the sound makes me want to throw up.

VIOLENCE. She lays a hand on me or threatens me...I'm out. I learned my lesson this last time...
