Has a movie or a television show ever impacted your life?

I love powerful stories, especially the ones that make you change the way that you see the world. Pay it Forward was a movie with a great message, and it did that for me. I also grew up watching Oprah so I would definitely have to say that her show was a powerful influence as well. I love cheesy romances so Somewhere in Time and When Harry Met Sally are two of my other faves. What movies or television shows have made an impact on you?

So many, its hard to recall all of them. The Breakfast Club marked my growing up, each character felt like a friend. Frida, she is beautiful, broken, bisexual--like me. I can't think of a better TV show than Six Feet Under, looking at life and death and humor from all sorts of sides.

Breaking Bad has really made me think recently about what I'd do if I found out I only had months to live.

Although there have been others, Longtime Companion probably mobilized me toward civil action at least as much as anything else has.

American Beauty taught me to appreciate and be grateful for the fact that I am alive, regardless of how bad things may be.
Big Fish showed me the importance of story-telling.
Spongebob Squarepants is the source of a large portion of my nonsensical sense of humor.
Doctor Who has influenced me on so many levels it's ridiculous.
