What Are You Embarrassed to Do in Front of Others?

I've been in four bands, was the lead singer in three of them, and to this day it pains me, pains me to sing in front of other people. The smaller the crowd, the quieter the space, the more embarrased I am. Give me a Shure 57 and a guitar and some lyrics about teenage sex or suicide to hide behind, its like vocal chord 'roids, man. Turn to me in a room of four people and say, hey sing that song you've been writing, and it's gee aww shucks, I dunno...

What are you embarrassed to do in front of others?

Talk. Talking embarrasses me. I feel like an idiot. I know it's bad, but I just can't help it.

I like to show people that I am strong so I guess it would be crying in front of people.

Something I'm embarrassed to do in front of others (well pretty much a class of people) is speak. I hate being the only one in front of the entire class speaking. It's just that feeling of everyone's eyes on you and you're the only one speaking while the rest of the room is quiet. Talk about awkward! I feel like everyone is judging me while I'm up there. I guess I just need to get over it! Most people are not comfortable speaking all by themselves in front of others, so I guess I'm not alone! Before I present something in class I try to calm my nerves by not thinking about it. But that just makes me more nervous because I'm thinking about trying not to think about it!! But usually after I get up there I'm fine and the nerves go away and I feel relieved to be done! :)

Talk!!!! In formal conversations and such. And also eat, just cause I love to eat and the people around me don't so its awkward...

Show my artwork and sell my products at trade shows. I feel humiliated which sucks because I know a lot of people like it. I still feel inadequate.

I used to absolutely hate using the toilet within earshot of other people. To disguise my noises I used to blow my nose and shuffle my feet etc. On one occasion I came out after doing the blowing the nose noises to be melt with some strange looks. I asked what they were looking at and was told that they were impressed by my farts. How mortifying. I don't worry now!!

I generally hate having to dance in front of people. Sounds stupid, but I just hate it.

When I'm at school I feel really awkward eating by myself. My mom is the only person I'll make really weird faces in front of and sing my best in front of. When I'm with other people I purposely sing bad and my weird faces aren't nearly as extreme.

It doesn't matter if I'm traveling and I really have no other options, I find it extremely awkward and embarrassing to poop in public restrooms... not that that's in front of other people....

Steal things, wrap Christmas presents, stuff my bra, sneak weed onto an airplane... you know. Things that are supposed to be little secrets. ;)

I am embarrased to be me in front of others. I can be part of an activity and help others however when it comes to the activity being about me I get embarrassed. Everything from eatting, talk about me, or receiving gifts I get embarrassed.

Use the bathroom for the "not so nice" times. LOL! My good friend was in the Marines and I have NO idea how she did it. No doors on the stall ... nuff said.
