What are the top 10 things that you learned in 2011?

10. “The Peach Drop 2012” sign costs $400.00 if you want to buy it….just sayin’! (This is for the locals....Atlanta has a "Peach Drop" for New Year's Eve)
9. “Kate Middleton's Replica Engagement Ring” really does make you feel a little “Royal”.
8. I will never be a “Real Housewife of Atlanta”.
7. My new catch phrase at work for 2012 will now be “Don’t make me go all Charlie Sheen up in here”!
6. The hunt for Bin Laden lasts longer than a Kardashian marriage! Really? Shouldn’t it be the other way around?!?!
5. It is no longer politically correct to say “Ghost Buster” they are now called “Ghost Hunters”.
4. Space…it’s no longer an option…just ask NASA.
3. American Idol will go on with or without Simon Cowell…thank goodness…that was a close one!
2. Just because the Mayan calendar ended…doesn’t mean that ours will…no telling what those Shamans were smokin’!

And finally the #1 thing I learned is.......

1. God is still great and people really are crazy!

10. I learned how to make shoes.
9. The difference between brown trout and rainbow trout... and also that blue gill will bite just about anything and snapping turtles are really mean.
8. I learned that when I stop smoking I can ride my bike much farther.
7. Fast food hamburgers likely have feces in them, and I learned a lot of other stuff about food.
6. It is physically possible to read the entire encyclopedia.
5. If you email a famous author they might actually email you back.
4. I learned how to buy a house, and why that's a bad idea where I live.

2. I learned a lot about global population, psychology, biology, sociology, anthropology, and that you can watch college lectures online for free.
1. Funerals are really expensive.

Oh I also learned what a persimmon is and that there's a persimmon tree in the park down the street.

1. I don't care what my parents think, I've met some of the greatest people from the interwebs
2. You don't have to cut off old friendships completely but you don't have to make them work either
3. I'm slowly stopping myself from lying to myself and reevaluate my views
4. I've accepted that I'm not ugly
5. Being empathetic is decidedly going to be my career, Imma bit nervous about that
6. Pop music sucks balls
7. I can't force people to be someone else, you've gotta have a spark of motivation
8. I'm slowly becoming who I am (I think) and it's all a bit overwhelming yet definitely exciting
9. I'm super naive about a lot of things. Critical thinking just isn't enough sometimes, you've got to experience it.
10. I'm not a fan of growing up. In some ways. ^_^
