I was watching Live with Kelly yesterday & Tyra Banks was on. She said that because people tend to not keep their resolutions that this year she encourages people to find one thing each month that they love about themselves. I thought this would be an effective method of embracing your imperfections (physical or otherwise).

I am very aware of what I do (and do not do) to my body, I am frequently advised to quit smoking, but I just don't want to. I take the meds I'm supposed to, don't take the ones I'm not, and I am very concious of what I eat. I am slowly increasing the level of depression I can tolerate and still be functional. Although I get excellent support here at home, the elephant in the room seems to be smoking.

I believe that imperfections are what make people perfect and there's a reason we have them. (:

Oh, and I will add that "perfection" is an illusion anyways. GOD makes us all imperfect, right? And that we are perfect in our imperfections...for me it is just a matter of accepting all of it.
