Take a deep breath, loosen up about the ( Self - imposed ? ) deadline, chill out, get a massage, go out to a male strip joint, OR just let off some steam. Keeping it in will play hell w / your health.

You will have to do it eventually. It is only a matter of time of when you want to do it.

I stop everything when I am overwhelmed and take a step back. Reevaluate what's important to me.

I would say express yourself, whether by writing, singing, dancing, even doing sport, anything at all that allows your emotions to "come out".

I tend to think that's all they really want, to "get out there" hehe :)

you should probably chill. Once you get to the present moment , it turns into a diary, and no one is allowed to read that....

I email Zach. Who emails back some words of wisdom that make me laugh. Then I go smack some tennis balls and all is right with the world.

I hope you left the parts about . . . us . . . out! ;)
I would say give yourself a break. Dunno about you, but I don't do my best work when I'm overwhelmed. A mini-vacation from it often has me coming back with better ideas, a better perspective, better energy.

I guess it all depends on how much is left to write and how fast you feel you can accomplish that task. I think you should press on. I don't know you that well but from what I can see through carious threads on SP, you seem like a fighter. I'd encourage you to keep the deadline. Sometimes my best creative moments happen when I'm being pushed for time.

...besides, if the last chapter or so doesn't work out you can always edit it if you're unsatisfied ;-)

i've had a block on my "writing" for awhile. one time i wrote six pieces in a night. then it took me a year to write three more. my band didn't like that too much. haha then i stopped writing altogether because i ran out of things to write about. i got burned out way too quick i think. i know you're writing your autobiography and you know about you. if you feel overwhelmed and a lil burned out...smell the roses get some fresh air and get back in there. :)

I try to just slow everything down , and breathe. Or just try to laugh and take my mind off of whatever the problem is. In a way, by writing all that out, you are reliving all of those memories, good and bad. Keep in mind though, you've made it this far (in writing your book and in your life) So i think you should do both. Take a day or two off, and then keep rolling on. If you don't finish by the end of the year, it isn't the end of the world. I think you should try to get it finished soon, but not drive yourself crazy trying to make the deadline. You're a very intriguing, and kind person, and I think your story will be a good read

Reading it over too much could be crazy-making. At some point, one needs to stop. I once edited so much that I made something worse. I am a procrastinator, so I would play with the cat. Do not take any more advice from me.

Rosie, you've been working on this auto-biography for years. You've worked through the hardest memories and the toughest decisions, and now it's finally coming to a close.

I personally think that we have no say in this. You've come this far, so you make the choice. I'm sure whatever choice you pick will be better than ours. If you really want to finish this all by the end of the year, then go for it. It doesn't hurt to take a break, though.

Rosie, been thinking about you so much in the last day and half. I find you a ray of sunshine. Joyful. Funny, playful, open minded, kind. You don't have to take my advice...I feel sure that you know in your own heart and mind what you need to do...but if you are truly asking me: Chill a bit.
