No. Definitely not. If others want to judge someone as selfish, short-sited, or wasteful for having ended their life, that is their business; or if the person thinking about killing his-or-herself feels guilty about putting that burden on their loved ones, that's understandable. But someone who is in pain is under no obligation to continue suffering. It's their body and consciousness to do with what they please; and it's no one else's place to assign a moral judgement to that choice.

I don't necessarily think its wrong...I mean it is your decision but I do often wonder if it is kind of an insult to the Creator (whatever that is). Also I think you never know happiness without suffering, and I think everything happens for a reason...I would hate to be at the depths of my despair...kill myself and then find out things were just about to get blissful.

Depends on the situation. Killing a perfectly good body that has barely lived is wrong, but if you have sought out all the help you can get, maybe not so much.

When you decide to kill yourself, you don't care if it's wrong. You don't care about hurting those who love you, because shortly you won't feel anything including the pain. You just want to stop feeling.

I want to say "no" because I'm all for thinning out the herd but it's a selfish way to go.

No it shouldn't. People have no way of understanding until they've reached that point.

Not for some, but for whomever they leave behind, it may be rough. I am talking about those who are truly an the end of their life from cancer, disease, etc. and can't bare the pain anymore. Who am I to decide or judge them?

Of course the Catholic Church still regard it is a cardinal sin - the Pope needs to set the ultimate example to correct this stupid notion -
but yes its a horrible thing for the family and friends.

I don't think it is a right or wrong situation. Each person handles their life according to how they feel they can. Yes, for those left behind it's tragic and sad. But how selfish then are we to want this person to continue to suffer just so we can see their faces at family functions or get a sad little text every once in a while.
