nah. there's too many dieties to keep up with to remember all those birthdays. Jesus wasn't born on the 25th either. all those holidays were "stolen" by christianity from the 'pagans' , including Soltice (december 21st), Ostara, Samhain, Beltaine.

Like most observances and ceremonies in Christianity, they are representative. It's less the ceremony or the timing of the ceremony, as the occurrence it commemorates. It's not the bread or the wine that mean anything in the communion for example, as what they represent or commemorate.

Different Bible Scholars put Jesus' actual birth as either a spring or a fall event.
Oh, and it's less "the birth of a Deity" than the beginning of an incarnation event where that-which-has-no-beginning-or-end simply extruded a part of itself into this physical reality for a brief second of time.

I don't know... I've got a sister-in-law who's birthday is December 25th... she's pretty awesome but I wouldn't go as far as to call her a deity. Sucks for her though, quickest way to piss her off is to wrap her birthday present in Christmas paper.
