Talk about stuff that matters.

The role of "spirituality" in your everday life.

Sometimes I hate to even use the word "spirituality", because of the negative connotations that many people associate with the word. Also, all too often it is used as merely a buzzword for alternative spiritual practices, so it loses its meaning, and turns many people off.

To me spirituality involves your connection to whatever greater/divine force, God, etc. you personally believe in. In that context how does your spirituality effect your daily life? Is it something that truly effects your life, or does it just play out in the background? Do you do any spiritual practices on a daily basis (prayer, meditation/contemplation, attend religious services/events)?

To me, spirituality effects my daily life through my daily meditation practices, as well as in my general conduct with humanity and nature. Since my view of God is as the creator of everything, I practice the Buddha's teaching of "do no harm", and because of that I am constantly thinking about and interacting with my spirituality.

I would love to hear your opinions on what you believe spirituality to be, and how it effects your everyday life, if at all.
