i think this is something we use to balance out the good and bad in all of our lives. angels to help the vulnerability, fear, pain, hurt, loss - something which shows the positives in life, which shows what we feel cofortable and safe with - in a sense gives us pretection against the unknown we don't wish to be there. demons, possibly a representation of everyone's dark side, the rebel which makes it ok to do/think/say things we know aren't always the best thing/right action/character reacition, but nobody is perfect and so an action by "demon" in relation to the opposite of "angel" is acceptable. to some extent... (i'm not saying murder or anything like that is in any way acceptable)

I know when I was 15 I went to the ER for alcohol posioning, and when I woke found myself in a hospital with my mom and a nurse sitting in my room, and a BEAUTIFUL woman's face above the door telling me everything would be okay and that this wasnt the end. I became religious after that experience for a few years, leading me to my next experience.... Playing with a ouija board with 3 friends from youth group, had one of the kids dad that had commited suicide come through, only to later find whatever it was that had contacted us using his father's name followed him home and our minister had to bless his home. It's hard to say I don't believe in good and bad spirits, but I don't believe they are what we think they are.

Yup, they both exist in this bizarre little commune we call 'humanity.' I think Martin Luther said that we are simultaneously "the foulest of sinners and the purest of saints." Both the angel and demon lie within (probably the point of the kick-a*s body art).

I believe in spiritual energies or spiritual entities, however one wants to put it. Some live and feed off the desire to build up, and some live and feed off the desire to tear down and destroy. @Chantarella talked about the energy around vs the energy in. I believe part of free will is that we get to choose what happens within the kingdom of self. We get to choose what energy that is around us, we will take into us. Some believe that tragic or traumatic events can circumvent our free will and set up strongholds within the kingdom of self that we have no control over. We cannot always control such events from happening -- but I believe we have the final say in what will and will not remain a part of our kingdom of self. And that which we allow to remain within our kingdom, whether angelic or demonic attracts like, growing and flourishing. And personally I have found that allying my kingdom of self with the kingdom of God has provided the support necessary to bring more exacting control over what I keep in, and allow in, my kingdom of self. I'm truly amazed at the number of people who dabble in spiritual things without proper spiritual protection.

This is a very feely touchy statement. You felt it. Once uneasy, once safe. You call it energy AROUND you. What if it is energy IN you? You have a subconscious. Your subconscious has a lot of memories and feelings stored inside that you are unaware of- until you get bits and pieces forging their way into your consciousness. You more often than not will not know what the cause is. Do you remember what you did on April 7th, 1978? Probably not. But it is stored in your subconscious. Some people were sexually abused and cannot remember it. The feelings however do surface from time to time and these people also dont know where these feelings came from. They also attempt to pinpoint it on something around them, instead of from inside of them. Especially if their subconscious is doing it`s best NOT to remember ( denial, repression etc.) That is just an example of what I mean.
