Self-identity, perhaps, is that line in the sand we draw that says "I am this," "I am not that." Whereas, self-expression is the sandcastle we decide to build within those boundaries. My question is though, is there a tide big enough to come and wash both away, leaving us with neither? Could it be just big enough to erase the line, but not destroy the castle?

You need to examine where your identity is found and rooted. My identity is deeply rooted in Jesus Christ. Because of this, I am never afraid of not knowing who I am.

Hmm.. I never thought about it like that. I think that maybe we try so hard to express ourselves and stand out, that we start to lose our sense of our own self-identity. Or.. maybe with self-expression we find self-identity.. I don't know. I think I'm srtating to confuse myself... lol
