what is worth giving up for your dreams

i was watching jurassic park... and i noticed that the man who created the whole thing would rather risk the safety of his own grandchildren then kill all the dinosaurs... they mentioned that lysene contiginsy thing... and in order to preserve his dreams and his work, he would risk the lifes of his own flesh and blood... would you risk anything for your dream and if so where would you draw the line... if at all

about succes i read a quote this days that said smth like this :when u have succes don't think about what you had to do to get it but think about the things you had to give up to get it.i think that you have to put in balance what u wanna give up and for what u wanna give up,there will always be a opportunity cost.
