Perfection is the exact opposite of what it says, or means. In order to be perfect, you can't be. Just be who you are and you will be perfect in your own way.

Perfection, like "god", is an ideal toward which we can strive. Its existence is subjective, it can vary based on context.

nothing and no one is perfect... just god, we are born perfect into a inpure world, and then we make our mistakes and so on and so forth. its nothing to be ashamed of though, its our imperfections that make a man/woman who he/she is

I dont get the coffee machine analogy. My coffee sure tastes better than it did 10 years ago and I wouldnt call that "perfection". I would just call it progress.

As far as God being "regretful" I think it is more of a human interpretation. Because God is all-knowing he must have known what was going to happen when he gave us fee will. Therefore, I think this passage is a way for man to express God's frustration over the things people were choosing. It also states that it grieved Him in His heart...but you could argue that God isn't man and therefore doesn't have a 'heart' in that sense. Personally, I think it's a way of expressing something inexpressible. As far as God being Vengeful, I would interpret it more in a sense of 'Justice'. You do wrong, you must repent. You sin, you must pray for forgiveness. God is forgiving but you need to give a little to get back...we're just stupid humans and he is trying to teach us the correct way of living.

I think perfection is subjective. Something that is perfect to me may not be perfect to the person next to me. In the same way that I cannot tell someone else their religion is wrong, I cannot tell someone what is perfect and what isn't perfect.
