Its more psychological if the person feels an urge to be other than its physical design. Therefore would have to call on science to establish the emotional and behavioral characteristics of these indivuals.
I asked if the person is androgynous, if so, then its not a psychological issue and would have a choice at a mature age and should not be decided by parents or medical staff. Decisions that were made this way has caused psychological issues.

He is a Man, he should play on the mens team. It is his identity, no one else can define that experience for him.

well, first, there is a lot of difference between /being/ male and /wanting/ to be male. And 'transgender' does /not/ imply gay or lesbian. SHE may be lesbian, but if SHE wants to play basketball on the female team, then SHE needs to do so.

"Allums wants to be identified as a male, though he will not begin any medical or drug protocols until he graduates in order to preserve his eligibility on George Washington's women's basketball team."
The fact that HE claims to be a male should disqualify HIM from playing on a Women's team anyway.

Wow. I think if she has the surgical procedures and becomes male than certainly at that point HE should be playing against other males.
