Love is giving of one's self freely and kindly, knowing that that there is no bottom to the love we have to give and yet staying open and ready to receive love in all its forms. We have to stay present to recognize them, however they come our way!

Are you asking 'how much do we need to love God if God loves us'? I think loving God means compassion for all things or the unconditional love for ALL things, down to the tiniest subatomic particles.

I'm not sure I can give a straight definition. But I love my parents, my sister, my family, and my best friends. To love someone is to care about them unconditionally- to want them to be happy- to want the best for them- to respect them- and to bring meaning into each others lives. Love is the best gift in the world.

Love is a supreme magnetic force. A force that gives meaning to creation. It is the gift that transcends materialism, and in the end it is our salvation.

Love = ignoring our own internal agendas, putting the well being and happiness of person we are loving ahead of our own agenda.

Love is when we emulate to our fellow human beings what God emulates to us. He created us so why not treat everyone else as though they are our own child. That's the problem with this world. Everyone is so divided. Walls are all around because people are afraid to just simply love one another. You don't need to be intimate, so to speak, in order to respect, admire and love a fellow human.

Love can be expressed on so many levels in so many different ways it's hard to determine what it is, exactly. I don't think you can really describe it, but when you feel it, you know exactly what it is.

Love is what binds us Hate is what keeps us apart. And i don't think god has anything to do with that!

wow this is a hard one! -- we learned something in world religions that is called someone's "ultimate concern" -- its pretty self-explanatory... i think anything that falls under this category is definitely loved.

I don't think it's a thing at all... I think it's expressed as a verb. And probably summarized in the various formulations of the "golden rule".

love is the human capacity to give to another. if God lies in the face of each of us, then we have been given the capacity to love all and love much.
