There are so few good options out there (even reusable bags encourage rampant consuming and waste.)

I have recently started to buy bulk, but have not found a reusable bulk bag that is acceptable to the grocer.
Cloth bags work well for fruits and veggies &c. but not so much for 200gm of nuts or a cup of honey.
Sanitation of publicly displayed food is not that much of a concern to me (I am healthy,) but it is to some others. I'd like to see more people use bulk bins (and not just the candy) and perhaps grocers will start having reusable "bags" for bulk bins (ie. the till tares the bag,) and perhaps more respect for bulk bins by the general consumer as a healthier less wasteful option to packaged food.
Just Thinking.

I hate to admit it but I never remember the recyclable bags when I go to the store... so I usually end up with getting plastic bags unless the store offers paper. But then again since i've started shopping at Sam's Club most of my groceries that are small enough to be bagged get boxed instead. I like using paper bags though for art projects, it sucks that most places don't have them.

I tend to get plastic bags when I go to to supermarket because I reuse them as bin bags, instead of buying bin bags. If they start to accumulate too much I use my reusable shopping bags for a while.
