Two days is not a very long time. I'd use it to get my family in one place before it's all over.

at that point wouldn't money be irrelevant? if everyone knows they're going to die i think it'd be mass chaos

"What? Ed McMahon, I thought you were dead?" McMahon starts twitching and heading toward me like he's going to eat me "ZOMBIE MCMAHON!!!" An alien ship lands and an alien steps out with a laser gun. "Shoot the zombie!" I say. *Zombie McMahon heads towards the alien and it zaps him into a crisp. Then the alien turns and looks at me. He takes off his face, to reveal....Ed McMahon, from the past. He hands me a check and says "Well done. You've passed the test." I take the check and use it to publish a book about my encounters.

Buy a shtload of guns and assemble a shtload of people and send those little green men back to Mars.
