Men and women are different. We complement each other. We balance honoring the principle by giving men and women complete equal rights to the same opportunities.

men and women are biologically different. that's pretty "fundamental".

so how does that make them "unequal"? in what way?
For any species to survive there /has/ to be both genders. that's pretty simple biology. neither is "better" than the other. and that's pretty fundamental.
humans just got it messed up somewhere

Equal isn't exactly the same- it is more of a balance of figures and ideas on each side of the equation.

Excellent question. Had me going for a while. Honor all. Assess all based on their relevant abilities. Don't judge based on race, sex, etc. Can't believe I almost fell into that instinctual trap. This issue has been resolved long ago.

i don't think women should ever be considered equal to men. they're obviously far less superior.

just kidding, but i'm really getting sick of the whole thing. there's a great episode of 30 rock about men and women and black and white rights, i think they did a great job at handling the issue! season 3 i think, check it out.

As funny as it may sound to a person who doesn't believe in God, it's my belief in God that is the great equalizer for all of us. If one truly believes within Gods eyes there is no such thing as a 2nd class citizen, who am I to say there is.

Of course, one could argue one doesn't need God to believe that and they would be correct. It's just I find my belief in God checks my ego at the door.
