Just as the first time round most people didnt accept Him, and also he was rejected and abused, in the same way - God tests humanity and doesnt make Him appear obvious and tests to see who the true believers are and who is bound up in tradition and superstition.

In the Baha'i view the long-prophesied Return of the Christ Spirit has already happened, about a century and a half ago!

In accordance with both Jewish and Christian prophecies, the name was indeed new, this time: the title now being "Baha'u'llah," which means "The Glory of God."
He was Persian, fulfilled many prophecies, was imprisoned for His religious teachings (which promote unity, love, peace, and concord), and wrote around 100 volumes of what is now Baha'i scripture.
And just as "the whole earth shall see it together" didn't happen for the first coming (it being spiritual metaphor rather than literal), so it didn't happen that way this time, either! You can see more about all this at this site:

Nor did this have anything to do with the world ending! IOV that's a mistranslation of the original Greek of the New Testament, where the word was "eras"--"world" or "age." The compilers of the King James Version chose the wrong meaning. We see it as speaking of the end of the Age, which did indeed happen in the mid-1800s.
The Baha'i Faith has been growing steadily ever since, and according to the "World Christian Encyclopedia" (clearly NOT a Baha'i source) is now the fastest-growing religion among those already established in over 100 countries; while in terms of where adherents live, since 1991 the "Encyclopedia Britannica" states the Baha'i Faith is the second most widespread religion world wide, at 110,000 locations (Christianity's in first place at 140,000). So while our numbers remain fairly small (around seven million today, up from 400,000 in 1963 and 3 million in 1985), we're definitely around and increasing!

Assuming fun hypothetical: I don't think people would take much notice at first. After He built up notoriety with the miracles, and people started realising what He was doing, there'd be a mob of people wanting stuff: then He'd stop the miracles, and they'd be sad. And then He'd get attacked a little, then He'd get killed -- just like last time...
